Welcome TO OUR NEST

"Ever since I was a teenager working in a Hallmark store, I’ve had a dream of opening my own business. After spending over 20 devoted years raising my four children alongside my husband, Scott, I knew it was time to finally make my idea a reality. In October of 2017, The Nest on Main was born.

 

Combining my experiences as a stay-at-home mother and my business management skills and fundamentals learned at Walsh College in Troy, Michigan has inspired me to create this business and celebrate my love for the home here in Bel Air, Maryland. 

 

In addition to large vendors from around the country, my store showcases the work of almost 30 local artists who display and sell their art. With the help of each artist, my inventory is constantly changing with updates not only seasonally but almost daily.

 

On a trip to visit my daughter who was studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, I discovered the Danish concept of Hygge(hoo-gah). It loosely translates to “creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people.” This concept emcompases my goal as a small business owner in that I want to help my customers experience Hygge in their own lives through my products and services.
